Blood Lines
Blood Lines is a local history presentation at one of our historic sites. Meets every second Saturday of the month from 6-7 p.m.
Community Reuse and Recycle Club
Community Reuse and Recycle Club is a public gathering, exchange and workshop intended to promote waste reduction through a series of activities. Meets every Saturday from 3-5 p.m. at Common Field, 320 Peruville Road, Lansing, NY 14882
Real Play
Real Play is a weekly outdoor activity for all ages with an emphasis on nature, exercise and healthy experiences. Meets every Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Common Field
Running Feather
Running Feather is a trail running club that meets every Saturday from 7-8 a.m. at Common Field.
Good Sport
Good Sport is a volunteer work group helping the local community and Common Field, Inc. Meets every Saturday from 2-3 at Common Field
Power Trip
Power Trip is a wilderness survival club that hosts a monthly outing into the wild lands of one of our nature preserves in Central and Northern New York. Meets every Friday from 8-9 p.m. at Common Field
Street Smart
Street Smart is an outdoor activity dedicated to street games, sportsmanship and safety. Meets every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at Common Field Alley, located off Cornell Street, parallel to State Street in Ithaca, NY
Lansing Community Gardens and Market
Come and share ideas, garden space, and produce on our land at Common Field. Meets every Sunday from 3-5 p.m. in the garden
Sound Off
Sound off is an adult meditation group that meets every Friday from 6-7 p.m. at our Locke Creek Gulf Nature Preserve at 367 Salmon Creek Road, Lansing, NY
Shelters Museum
Shelters Museum is an alternative building program providing experience in building historical primitive structures. We meet every Sunday from 9-11 a.m. at Common Field
Nature Coexistence Project
Alternate living opportunities that promote the protection of the natural world as we live within it. This includes the development of a reduced-size earth-friendly homestead, off grid natural energy production, subsistence farming and sharing common spaces and resources.
Primitive Camping
Primitive camping is available on a reservation basis on many of our parcels.
Outdoor Adventure Club
Outdoor Adventure Club is a summer camp program for ages 5-18.
Outdoor Athletic Fields
Two large and two small soccer fields are now available for low cost rental to local clubs.
Sand Shark
Sand Shark - Beach Volleyball Club and Beach Soccer Club - Summer leagues now forming
Double Star Farm
Learn how to grow your own food at our farm at 320 Peruville Road, Lansing, NY. We're planting orchards and nut trees for community benefit for years to come. Perennial food crops are being established (rhubarb, asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.) We also carry on sustainable forestry providing many benefits to the local community through biomass/firewood and forest products.
Artists Group Against Waste
Artists Group Against Waste is a collective effort to bring awareness to the massive waste stream our culture creates. We encourage the use of these waste products to create meaningful art. Please see our environmental contests for opportunities to share your enthusiasm for environmental protection while having fun and exploring your imagination. Come join us and make a difference.
